Something not working, or a drive that scored strangely? Email support@westbound.app. It's read by a person, usually within a couple of days.
Common questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. There's no sign-up. Your drives and stickers are stored on your iPhone.
- How do I record a drive?
- Tap Start before you head up I-70 and Stop when you arrive. Or turn on auto-detect and let Westbound do it.
- How does auto-detect work?
- Turn it on in Settings ▸ Auto-detect drives. It needs "Always" location access so it can notice when you're near the corridor. You'll get a notification each time it starts or stops a drive, and manual Start and Stop always still work.
- A drive scored strangely. What should I send?
- Open the drive, tap Export this drive, and email the files to support@westbound.app. The export contains that drive's full route, so send it only if you're comfortable sharing it.
- How do weather stickers work, and can I turn them off?
- After a drive, Westbound looks up the conditions at one approximate point along it to award stickers like Whiteout and Bluebird. You can turn this off in Settings ▸ Weather stickers. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's sent.
- How do I delete my data?
- To delete one drive, open it and tap the trash icon. To delete everything, use Settings ▸ Delete all drive data. Deleting the app also removes all of it.
